A 38-year-old Indonesian domestic worker was injured by a robber armed with a knife in Yuen Long in the New Territories on Sunday.
The maid named Salim was walking past a village house in Tin Sam Tsuen in Yuen Long’s Hung Shui Kiu at 5am when a man approached and pointed a 30-centimetre-long knife at her, Oriental Daily reported.
The robber grabbed her handbag but the maid resisted and her right hand was cut by the man’s knife. The robber then ran off with her bag.
The injured worker went to the light-rail station nearby and a passer-by reported the case to police. The woman was sent to hospital for medical treatment.
The maid list HK$40,000 (US$5,126), a Samsung mobile phone and a Sony mobile phone, Apple Daily reported.
Police made inquiries around the area but no one was arrested. They classed the case as robbery.

Yeah some filipino are stupid like this one ????????????. Im a filipino but sometimes im ashame to be one. Mostly of Indonesian save their salary and go home with the big amount not like as most filipino monthly money gone fast. Send money to Philippines, buys new clothes, shoes, handbags and more. Then after contract finish filipino dont have money left.
Don’t judge her because only maid we doesn’t know if she have lot of money maybe she have boyfriend give to her or she borrow to the bank or long service pay we doesn’t know ok just u inggit kc mrami xang pera hahahaha
One possible ans to your question is she maybe borrow money from the bank to send in her family back to Indonesia or maybe she’s gonna go back to her country

Miss Geo Shan Sa dont rule out all chinese employers coz i myself is now almost 30 yrs with my current employerl. There are reasons why they dont keep their helpers for long. Lets not judge where the money came from and stop speculating. You are putting every individual in the planet a bad image. Dont pretend you knew it all.
This is very strange case the robber Have some knowledge about the money that was on her bag they must investigate the employer,friends and some people who knew about that money cause its look like inside job to me.

Please you dont know what is the main reason why she has a lots of money in her bag. And please i am a chinese..we can also keep their helper for so long or more years if she is a trusted person..and beside that i have been for 12years in my chinese employer before..

Poor lady, we never know the worse maybe she loaned that money needed for her family back in Indonesia, and now she have to pay it monthly for nothing. I really feel so sorry at her, in whatever form why she have that big amount, it her money for sure.
