A 29-year-old woman from Bangladesh was arrested by police for alleged drug trafficking in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon on Wednesday.

Police raided a flat in Chungking Mansions on Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui at 8pm and arrested the woman, who is an asylum seeker, Oriental Daily reported.

Police seized 113 grams of suspected cannabis resin and 38 ecstasy pills with an estimated street value of HK$15,000 (US$1,922) in the woman’s handbag.

Special duty units from Yau Tsim Police are investigating the case and tracing the source of the illegal drugs.
