A total of 58 men and women – including staff and drug users – were arrested by police at a nightclub in Selangor’s Petaling district in Malaysia early on Sunday morning.
Police from a special anti-vice unit conducted a raid at 4am at a popular nightclub in Bandar Puchong Jaya, where 168 members of public were intercepted, Sin Chew Daily (Malaysia) reported.
Two managers and 18 staff members were arrested, while 2,268 ringgits in cash and a set of speakers were seized, Serdang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Megat Mohammad Aminudin Megat Alias said.
Seven male customers – six Chinese men and one Malay man – who tested positive in a urine test for ketamine, were arrested for alleged illegal drug use.
Some 31 foreign women – 18 Vietnamese, 10 Indonesian, two Thai, and one Chinese, who were allegedly working as guest relations officers – were also taken to the police station to assist their inquiries.
