A 24-year-old security guard was arrested by Malaysian police on Wednesday after allegedly indecently assaulting a three-year-old girl inside a kindergarten where he worked.

At 4:30pm on October 4, a 34-year-old woman picked up her three-year-old daughter from the kindergarten to take her home, at which time she learned that the girl had spent time alone twice with a man in a white uniform in a dark room of the school in Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru district, Johor state, China Press reported.

The mother, a saleswoman, suspected that her daughter had been indecently assaulted by the man, as the little girl complained of pain in her private parts and refused to shower.

At 9am on October 5, the mother took her daughter for a checkup at a hospital, where a doctor said the girl had sustained injuries to her private area.

Around noon the same day, police arrived at the kindergarten and arrested the security guard, who was detained for questioning until Wednesday, when he was arrested.
