A woman of Filipino origin has told police she was indecently assaulted by a man in Yuen Long’s Pak Heung in the New Territories on Thursday.

The woman, aged 40, was assaulted by a South Asian man at 7pm in Tai Kong Po Tsuen in Pat Heung, Oriental Daily reported.

The woman injured her neck, hand and legs when she resisted the man before he ran off.

Police arrived at the scene but could not find the suspect nearby. The woman was sent to a hospital for medical treatment.

Officers from the criminal squad at Yuen Long police are following up the case – hunting for a South Asian man who was about1.8 meters tall, of strong build and with short black hair. The suspect wore a red top and blue jeans when the assault happened.
