Hong Kong will enjoy markedly cooler temperature on Halloween night.
Thanks to a northeasterly monsoon that continues to bring fine weather to South China, Tuesday afternoon will be dry, with relative humidity over parts of Hong Kong falling to about 40%, the city’s Observatory said.
Trick-or-treaters should think about wearing a jacket when they go out for the evening as temperatures could dip on Tuesday night.
The Observatory recorded that the temperature dropped to 19 degrees Celsius in various districts of Hong Kong on Tuesday morning, the lowest so far this autumn. On Tai Mo Shan, the highest peak in the city, the mercury dropped to as low as 10.8 degree Celsius.
As of 9am, Tsuen Wan in the New Territories was at 17.2 degree Celsius while Tseung Kwan O, Kwun Tong, Kowloon Bay and Wong Tai Sin all recorded 17.5 degree Celsius.
The weather will continue to be fine and dry but the temperature will rise slightly in the next few days.
