Two men have been arrested after a 43-year-old woman told police on Monday that she was raped by her husband and a friend of his at their home in Sha Tin in the New Territories.

Police acted after receiving a report about the woman’s claim that she was raped by her 59-year-old husband, surnamed Chan, and a 56-year-old man surnamed Kung, in a flat at Lung Hang Estate in Sha Tin, reported.

Police arrested two men in the flat and have classed the case as rape.

It is understood that the couple had a quarrel last month and that Chan had moved out of the flat.

On Sunday, Chan, who is unemployed, went back home and wanted to restart relations with his wife, but failed to achieve that.

Chan went home again on Monday with Kung, a taxi driver accused of also raping the woman at the flat.

The victim allegedly told her daughter, who reported the incident to police. The 43-year-old woman was sent to hospital for medical treatment.

Officers from Sha Tin police crime unit are investigating the case.
