A 28-year-old woman from Vietnam was attacked and robbed by two men in Sham Shui Po in Kowloon on Saturday.

The woman, named Nguyen and holding a tourist visa, claimed that she has no family and had been sleeping under the flyover on Tung Chau Street in Sham Shui Po, Oriental Daily reported.

The victim was released from jail earlier the same day. When she went back to Sham Shui Po at 9am, she found two South Asian men had taken the place where she used to live.

They argued and then the two men punched and kicked her before hitting her several times with an iron rod. The woman was bleeding from a head wound.

The duo took HK$7,100 (US$908) in cash that the victim dropped accidentally and ran away.

She reported the case to police and was later sent to the hospital for medical treatment.

Sham Shui Po police are hunting for two South Asian men aged from 20 to 30, about 1.7 meters tall and of medium build. One wore black shorts and a pair of slippers while the other wore a white top plus black shorts and slippers.
