A Korean woman fell to her death from a residential building in Taipa in Macau on Friday.
At 5pm, the woman surnamed Kim, aged around 30 and holding a Korean passport, was found on the ground unconscious at The Pacifica Garden in Taipa, Macau Daily News reported.
The woman was understood to be living with her boyfriend, also Korean, in a flat in Block 2 at The Pacifica.
The boyfriend wanted to break up with the woman. She had allegedly found that he was found having an affair in Korea but refused to split up.
When the boyfriend came out of the bathroom, he found the woman had climbed out of a window and wanted to jump from the flat. He rushed to the room and grabbed her wrist but failed to stop her falling, Hou Kong Daily reported.
The woman fell to the ground and was certified dead at the scene when paramedics arrived.
Judiciary police, who investigated the incident, found no criminal injuries on the woman but no suicide note. Officials said the actual cause of death would be determined after an autopsy.
