Prompted by recent teen suicides linked to the online game Blue Whale Challenge, Fortis Healthcare on Thursday launched a round-the-clock helpline to provide psychological assistance, according to media reports.
Anyone who feels distressed as a result of playing Blue Whale can dial 8376804102 for help, IANS reported, adding that parents can use the helpline to discuss sudden behavioral changes in their child.
In a statement, Fortis Healthcare director Samir Parikh said, “We have been receiving calls both from teenagers as well as concerned parents. This helpline is geared towards intervening in times of crises, as well as imparting psycho-education to help individuals and families cope with the situation.”
