Police are hunting a Burmese woman who attacked a colleague with hot oil in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island on Thursday.
The two Burmese women had a quarrel at 3am in a subdivided flat at 131 Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, Sing Pao reported. The dispute later turned physical.
The suspect became emotional and allegedly poured hot oil on the victim, a 46-year-old woman named Kham, whose face and upper body was burnt.
The victim went downstairs and called police. But the suspect escaped before police arrived.
Paramedics arrived and found the victim conscious. She was later sent to Queen Mary Hospital in a stable condition, Sing Tao Daily reported.
Wan Chai police classed the case as assault causing bodily harm. They are hunting a woman aged 30 to 40, who is 5’6” tall, fat with short hair, wearing black tops and a black dress.
