The Border Security Force (BSF) fatally shot two Pakistani infiltrators along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab early on Wednesday, PTI reported.

The pair crossed the border in Ajnala sector of Amritsar at BOP Shahpurwere and were intercepted by the BSF troops but refused to surrender.

A BSF spokesperson said, “When challenged by BSF troops, infiltrators fired on ambush line with automatic weapons. Taking cover, the fire was appropriately retaliated and infiltrators were neutralised near the border fence.”

Four kilograms of heroin, a Pakistani SIM card and Pakistani currency worth Rs20,000 (US$300) were recovered.
