A female teacher in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee allegedly beat a Class VI student and tried to undress her as punishment for doing poorly on an exam on Thursday, ANI reported. The school’s principal immediately suspended the teacher.
The child told ANI, “I was asked to remove my clothes and when I refused, the teacher slapped me and forcefully started removing my clothes.”
The principal said, “A teacher was trying to unbutton the girl’s shirt, I called her and criticized her for her action, suspended her with immediate effect.”
