A 81-year-old woman and her 40-year-old domestic worker were hit by a taxi when they crossed a road in Kowloon on Tuesday.
The old woman and her maid were crossing Cha Kwo Ling Road via an island in front of the Pamela Youde Polyclinic, when a taxi coming from Yau Hong Street hit both of them at about 10am, Apple Daily reported.
The domestic worker, whose nationality was not disclosed, immediately held the old lady tight around her arm, a witness told the paper.
Fortunately, the pair suffered only minor injuries.
A doctor and two nurses immediately rushed out from the clinic to treat them while one nurse held an umbrella to shade the old woman.
Paramedics later arrived and sent the woman and the maid to hospital for further treatment.
Another news to question.
Everytime that any helper done good they refuse to mention the nationality in the article. Its always indicated that the [domestic]helper nationality is disclosed.
C’mmon, for sure that every helper have the HKID and it is clearly indicated all there the infos. Especially when the employers are identified already. How comes that the helper nationality still unknown?
Unfair to some other news that when any helper done wrong it is easily for you to put and/or mention in the article even many times their nationality.
Anyway Godbless to all fellow helper from different part of the .
DAMN SHIT WHEN A HELPER WILL DO SUCH AND HEROIC ACT IT WILL ALWAYS IDENTITY UNKNOWN BUT WHEN ITS NOT A GOOD ACT THE NATIONALITY OF THE HELPER WILL ALWAYS BE BOLDY WRITTEN…WHAT A RACIST COUNTRY…..
Yes thats true but if the news/article is about a helper commit a crime or do nasty things well nationality or even thier names is being revealed..tsk.
Your out of the topic! How pity you are!
Asia Times, come on!,bias reporting over and over againnnnnnn!!!!!
True…every domestic helper must carry the hongkong I.D, so impossible that they don’t really know the identity of a person… Hay., buhay kunyang.
Nationality of people doing good deeds should not be disclose! Men! What are you trying to keep. I hate it whenever these chinese people do this shit. But when a domestic helper did something wrong…it’s easy for you to pinpoint what kind of nationality they are even if they are not the "nationality" you mentioned! This is BS and totally CRAP!!!! YES, CRAP!!!
If bad news they automatically mention the nationality.but if good news they refuse to mention which nationality!damn this news!
Descrimanation! that’s what you’re doing Asia times!
Why hidden the identity? for what reason ? is it because this is not a crime? and a helper should just show their identity if they’re dead or did wronged? whathehecked!!
True.
Correct…they just want to reveal if it something bad was done.partiality as it best,Asia Times!
Yes its a big check if the workers make a good things they don’t give there name but if a maids make a mistakes they repeatedlywriting there nationality. This is very unfair and bias news.
They dnt want to tell the nationality if a FDH done good…unfair…
The article is nice but I think it would be nicer if you mention atleast the nationality of the helper whatever he/she comes from. Not because of fame but to show that his/her good deeds are being recognized. Just to be fair because whenever that some helpers done wrong its easy for you to put their names on public.
For clarification, the news didn’t say they don’t know the nationality of the helper, rather, it said "was not disclosed"…or hindi ipinaalam, which is kinda annoying because just as you’ve said, if a helper did something wrong, the name and the nationality is being published for the world to see. And so why not do the same when the news is about a helper’s heroism?
we got nothing to do for this, the just do a damp shit to a us.because we are just domestic helper,,they are very awful
Sakto kabayan yan din sana ang sasabihin ko pero very well said!
She must be a Filipina.
Yes I notice that every time if the helper did good things they don’t mention her/his name but if the helper did a bad things everything in details!!how come?is it fair like that!?
yes you correct
Regardless of the helper’s nationality. Most helpers are great people. We just have to appreciate and value them. This one is truly a good person.
