A suspicious object triggered a bomb scare at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Wednesday, according to media reports.
At 7:05 am, an emergency call was made to the security control room informing staff that a suspicious item was found in a cargo storage area, but the airport was declared safe after a bomb squad rushed to the scene and inspected it.
Security officials at the airport told PTI, “The bomb disposal and canine teams found that the suspect item was nothing but some spare parts of Maruti car-manufacturing company. The consignment and the area have been sanitized and declared safe.”
