Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, said the government must make sure it has adequate defensive capabilities before provoking China, PTI reported.
In an interview with Saamana, Thackeray also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s frequent foreign trips, saying they did nothing to protect India against foreign aggression.
Thackrey said, “The Pakistan and China threats have increased in recent past and we do not have enough ammunition to fight them. Then what has this strong government done in three years? When we tell China that India today is different from what it was in 1962, we should remember the kind of ammunition that we possess before opening our mouth. One can win elections on fake promises and self-eulogy but not a war,”
On Modi’s foreign trips, Thackrey said, “You are discarding your local friends. Will your friends from outside come to your rescue?”
Mr Uddhav Thackeray is a pragmatist and a realist person who can use confrontation into cooperation to get India out of staagnation into 21 century development and bring in millions of job to young unemployed Indians!
This is what friendly neighbours of India want.
