Microsoft’s cloud computing service Azure doubled its revenue in the second quarter, reports the Financial Times, helping Microsoft achieve a better than expected 4% revenue increase. The firm’s cloud businesses, overall, showed a 9% increase.

Microsoft is number two behind Amazon’s cloud services offerings, with Google close behind in the fast growing market. The increase in revenue has been in part due to expanding margins in cloud business, Microsoft said.
