A 30-year-old Hong Kong man surnamed Wong, who was keen to have sex with a woman he newly met in a pub in Kowloon, ended up being arrested by police and charged with assault early on Tuesday morning.
At around 3am, Wong and a Hong Kong woman, aged 23, decided to get a taxi to his home in Shatin in New Territories after meeting in a pub on Kimberley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon, Apple Daily reported.
However, when the taxi drove along Waterloo Road near Hereford Road, the woman complained that the man had touched her indecently. She then asked the taxi driver to take her home to Tsuen Wan, the Headline Daily reported.
While the man and woman argued over the destination, the driver parked his vehicle in a bus stop on Tim Fuk Road and called the police.
Things got worse for the man, who was apparently drunk, when police arrived. He pushed an officer to the floor and was arrested for allegedly assaulting the policeman.
The woman was also taken to the police station for investigation.
