A Chinese national, identified as Yan, was attacked by five robbers in Bangalore on Saturday night, according to media reports.
While waiting for a cab in Indiranagar, Yan, who was in the city to finalize a business deal, was reportedly attacked by five men who approached him on bikes and attacked him with knives.
Yan received a cut on his face but was rescued by a police van. He was taken to a hospital and treated in the emergency room, India Today reported.
The police identified five suspects by examining CCTV footage and arrested them. They have been charged with attempted robbery and dacoity.
