A Chinese national, identified as Yan, was attacked by five robbers in Bangalore on Saturday night, according to media reports.

While waiting for a cab in Indiranagar, Yan, who was in the city to finalize a business deal, was reportedly attacked by five men who approached him on bikes and attacked him with knives.

Yan received a cut on his face but was rescued by a police van. He was taken to a hospital and treated in the emergency room, India Today reported.

The police identified five suspects by examining CCTV fo­ot­age and arrested them. They have been charged with attempted robbery and dacoity.
