A Hong Kong logistics worker with golden hair was praised by netizens for stopping another worker from beating up an old man and a woman on a street in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, on Tuesday.
At 4pm, a man in a black tank top was seen rushing toward a seven-seater van parked in front of the Golden Computer Arcade on Fuk Wa Street, where he punched an old man, Apple Daily reported, citing a witness who shot a video that went viral on Wednesday.
A woman who tried to separate the two was also pushed down by the attacker, who then punched another man in the vehicle and dragged him down by pulling his hair.
It was suspected that the attacker had become angry because the vehicle was blocking the road and made it difficult for him to move his goods.
Soon, a worker with golden hair arrived and tried to stop the attacker, shouting, “Why did you beat up an old man? … You attacked a woman too, are you insane?” He added that there was no need to use violence if the dispute was all about work.
The attacker did not dare to touch “Golden Hair” but scolded him with swear words.
Police arrested the attacker later, and a man and woman were sent to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Netizens praised “Golden Hair” for his bravery and sense of justice. They suggested the police give him a good-citizen award.
