Two senior citizens were injured when a tree fell on their “kaali–peeli” (black-yellow) taxi in Parel, Mumbai, on Sunday morning, according to media reports.
Manohar Kocharekar,75, and Bindyavasini Mishra, 65, were rushed to KEM Hospital, but doctors said their injuries were not serious.
Last week, 58-year-old Kanchan Nath, a former Doordarshan TV anchor who taught yoga, died after she was hit by a falling coconut tree during her morning walk in Chembur. She was admitted to hospital with a head injury but later died.

A chilling video of the incident went viral. The media reported widespread frustration among Mumbaikars over such incidents, which have claimed several lives.
