Some HK$70,000 (US$8,968) worth of valuables were stolen in burglary at a luxury apartment in Kowloon Tong on Thursday.
At 2am, a woman arrived at her home at 11 La Salle Road in Kowloon Tong after a vacation only to find her apartment ransacked.
She reported to the police that about HK$20,000 (US$2,562) in cash and HK$50,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen, HK01.com reported.
Police said burglars might have broken into the flat by climbing up from bamboo scaffolding erected outside the building for maintenance work.
