Police arrested a 45-year-old asylum seeker after finding he had 17 grams of cannabis when officers stopped him at 8pm in front of a village house in Pat Heung, Yuen Long, in the northwest New Territories.
Officers also found 971 grams of cannabis resin in the village house in Ng Ka Tsuen during an operation on Thursday, Sing Pao reported. The drugs were worth HK$120,000 (US$15,400).
The Pakistani man was arrested on drug possession with intent to sell and remained in custody. Police said man was a triad member active in the Tsuen Wan district.
