After an eight-year wait, “Superstar” Rajinikanth is all set to meet his fans at Raghavendra Mandapam in Kodambakkam for five days starting on May 15.
Rajini ‘s publicist, Riaz Ahmed, confirmed that his fans have been sent invitations to meet and pose for photographs with the actor.
The star has generally kept his political views to himself, but he whipped up a storm in January when he described the political atmosphere in Tamil Nadu as “unusual” while speaking at an event in Chennai.
Rajinikanth had planned to meet fans last month but canceled. The last time the actor met his fans was following the success of his film Sivaji in 2009.
Some observers are wondering if the timing of his upcoming engagement has political significance.
