A 34-year-old Pakistani man was attacked with a knife by seven men in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui late on Wednesday evening as he walked on the street with a compatriot.
At around 11pm, the man, a refugee claimant, was attacked by seven masked men at the crossroads of Hankow Road and Ichang Street, Oriental Daily reported. He was first pushed onto the ground and then beaten up by the attackers with one of them stabbing him with a 30-centimeter-long knife.
Khan, who sustained six injuries to his right arm and leg was sent to hospital. His friend was uninjured.
The police are hunting for seven men aged between 20 and 30, Sing Tao Daily reported. They did not rule out the possibility that it was a revenge attack against Khan, who said he did not know the attackers.
