Oil jumped after Saudi Arabian and Russian energy ministers voiced support for a nine-month extension to production cuts.
Oil prices have climbed by as much as 3.6% to US$49.55 for West Texas Intermediate, and as much as 3.3% to US$52.53 for Brent, reports CNBC.
