Gaanam Nair, a Chennai-based model and screenwriter who went missing on May 26, returned home on Monday after an online campaign launched to find her went viral.

According to reports, about 900 tweets referring to her case were posted on the micro-blogging site set up to find her in the last 24 hours.

On May 26, Nair left for work on her black Honda Activa scooter. She had informed her relatives that she was going to meet a friend in Virugambakkam in Chennai. When she failed to return, her relatives called her phone, but it was switched off. Police were then notified. The 28-year-old is believed to suffer from depression.
