If US President Donald Trump’s current problems create a market pullback, Capital Link International CEO Brett McGonegal says that would a good entry point for the market.

“I think we probably have another 5% to the downside here,” McGonegal says. “There are a lot of people that missed the Trump move and there’s a lot of people that have been waiting for a pullback. So when you get into a situation like that you have an abundance of capital on the sidelines waiting for a cheaper entry point into the market.

“Regardless of what’s driving it lower, I think there’s a lot of ammunition there so I don’t think that there’s a huge downside. And I do think that it’s a good entry point at that level if you get a 5% pullback.”

McGonegal is also a principal shareholder in Asia Times.
