A 19-year-old Hong Kong man was sent to a detention center by Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Court in Hong Kong on Tuesday after being found guilty on one count of attempting to “procure unlawful sex by false pretences.”

The Apple Daily reports that on April 10 a 19-year-old woman posted on social media that she had lost her iPhone 7 in a bar. Chan Yik, who worked there as a waiter, messaged the woman, claiming (falsely) that he had the phone.

Chan said he would return the phone if the woman had sex with him. The woman called the police, who arrested the man.

Psychological reports showed that Chan is a typical sex offender, easily affected by obscene images. Magistrate Kelly Shui said he was a hard-working man but came from a broken family and had disappointed his mother.
