US Senators delivered a letter to the White House ahead of the president’s meetings with his Chinese counterpart this week, calling on Trump to demand China put a stop to THAAD deployment retaliatory actions, reports KBS.

China has placed economic pressure on South Korean firms operating in China, following the deployment of the missile defense system near Seoul, and has called for the defenses to be removed.

The letter also asked Trump to demand China reconsider opposition to the deployment of THAAD.
