Meeting with US chief executives in Washington on Tuesday, President Trump promised that “some very pleasant surprises” were coming on the North American Free Trade Agreement, without giving details.

During the meeting the president highlighted his administration’s regulatory reforms, on which he said there is still much work to be done. The prime targets on the chopping block will be energy regulations and Dodd-Frank financial rules.

Trump added that he was going to overhaul the federal government’s computer systems. He indicated to IBM CEO Ginni Rometty he would like to work with her company to upgrade the system, although he then pointed out the administration is working with “many others.”
