Police are looking for a suspected female arsonist, aged between 30 and 40, after fires were lit in four locations within 30 minutes in Mong Kok, Kowloon, on Thursday late evening.
At 11:41pm, the suspect lit debris with a cigarette lighter in a back alley on 982 Canton Road, Oriental Daily reported.
About 15 minutes later, a cloth covering a motorcycle caught fire on Shantung Street. Seven minutes later, styrofoam boxes outside a grocery shop on Nam Tao Street were burnt. Passers-by alerted the shopkeeper who put out the fire. A tent on 311 Ferry Street caught fire at 12:03am on Friday, Apple Daily reported.
Firemen arrived at three of the locations and put out the fires. No one was injured and no property was damaged.
