A 30-year-old Hong Kong man leaving town on Tuesday evening at Shenzhen Bay Control Port was intercepted and arrested in connection with alleged common assaults and assaults occasioning actual bodily harm to six pedestrians in Wan Chai last week.

Five women and one man, aged between 22 and 42, filed complaints to the police, reporting that they had been attacked by an unknown man on Queen’s Road East in Wan Chan last Thursday and Saturday.

A driver surnamed Wong uploaded onto Facebook his car camera’s video footage, which, over the course of 90 seconds, captured four attacks by a running man in dark clothes.

The suspect was in custody overnight to assist the police in their investigations.
