Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) chief negotiator Iman Pambagyo said on Wednesday that he is confident negotiations on the trade agreements’ text could be finalized this year, reports Bloomberg. After the sounding of the TPP’s death knell, China has been pushing for a quick conclusion to RCEP. Pambagyo echoed this sentiment, saying that the members need to focus on getting the deal done without importing elements from the TPP.
