Seasonally-adjusted jobless claims fell in March by 30,000, beating a forecast of a 10,000 claim decline from a Wall Street Journal poll.

MarketWatch reports that March’s 5.8% jobless rate was the lowest since the measure was first taken after the country’s unification in 1992.
