Police busted a prostitution ring, arresting eight women from mainland China and Hong Kong in Lan Kwai Fong nightclub district in Central on Thursday.
At 4pm, three undercover policemen pretended to be clients when they visited a massage parlor in an apartment on 50 Wyndham Street, Apple Daily reported. They then arrested five mainland Chinese women for offering sexual services to clients. The women were aged between 29 and 42.
They also arrested a 35-year-old Hong Kong women surnamed Hon, the operator of the six-room parlor, and two female assistants, who held Hong Kong identity cards. The massage parlor, which opened a year ago, targeted foreign professionals and did not accept walk-in clients, Oriental Daily reported, citing the police. The service charge was about HK$700 (US$90), the police said.
