China and the Philippines finalized a six-year development deal worth US$3.4 billion, as Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang visited the Philippines’ president on Friday. Reuters reports that Wang’s visit was much more businesslike than was Abe’s, as the Japanese Prime Minister has a close personal bond with Duterte.
