Bloomberg reports that, except for the Philippines, every Asian emerging-market currency strengthened in the first quarter on optimistic growth forecasts for the region.

The region’s equity markets also saw the best three-month showing in seven years.

Head of Asia research at ANZ Banking Group Khoon Goh said his firm still sees inflows supporting Asian currencies over the coming quarter.
