A Hong Kong bride-to-be dumped her two pet cats with a woman already coping with about 50 other moggies saying that she wouldn’t be able to look after them properly as she is about to get married, according to Animal Post, an animal rights group.
Two-year-old Black Sesame Pudding and Yellow White Cat, 3, were rescued from the streets when they were a few months old, said volunteer activist Tang Wai-foon. The woman who adopted them brought them back on Saturday, Tang said. Yellow White Cat was pining and refusing to eat, she said.
Tang said she is looking for a new home for the moggies, adding that it’s not uncommon in Hong Kong for pets to be abandoned due to a marriage or the birth of children.
