Japanese disc jockey and comedian Piko-Taro is fast gaining a reputation as the new Psy, thanks to his catchy 45-second novelty song that has gone viral, clocking up more than 115 million views on YouTube since its release in late September.
The song, “PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen),” has also made history by becoming the shortest one ever to break into the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
But Piko-Taro, who also goes by the name of Kosaka Daimaou, still has a long way to go if he is to beat Psy, the South Korean pop star who’s phenomenal hit Gangnam Style has had more than 2 billion YouTube views.

Personaly, when I have listened this music video for the first time, I thought it was funny. But, this song always come up in my head. It’s so catchy!! This song make people all around the world sing together. It can be said that this song become one of the cultural phenomenon in 2016.
