Changi Museum has been named the top museum in Singapore in this year’s TripAdvisor Top 10 Traveler’s Choice Museums awards on Tuesday. It ranked 21 in Asia.
The Changi Museum opened in 2001 to replace the Old Changi Chapel and Museum that was built in 1988. A war memorial museum located at Upper Changi Road North, it documents significant events of Japanese occupation during the World War II and also serves as an educational institution and resource center.
This ranking was based on reviews of TripAdvisor travelers over the past year.
Visitors of the museum tend to get emotional and many of them have also praised the attraction for being informative as well. In 2014, the museum was placed second in the same awards.
