Miniature versions of the acclaimed pagodas of Yakushiji temple constructed inside glass bottles are attracting visitors to an art gallery here.
The 1/44 scale models of the east and west towers at the UNESCO World Heritage temple in Nara were created by Yuki Tanaka, a 74-year-old technical adviser at Menicon Co., Nagoya-based contact lens maker and retailer.
The “bottle architecture” is being exhibited at a gallery in the Menicon Annex complex in Naka Ward. Read more
