An Emirates flight with 275 on board crash landed at the Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, just after noon, and the passengers and crew were safely evacuated.

It was the Emirates Boeing 777-300 flight EK521 that took off from Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala, India.

“We can confirm flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai has been involved in an accident at Dubai International. There were 275 passengers and crew on board. Our main priority now is the safety and well-being of all involved,” the airlines tweeted and was quoted by Deccan Chronicle.

An airport spokesperson said all passengers and crew had been safely evacuated and the emergency services were managing the situation. Several afternoon flights got delayed.
