Apple Music is now available in over 110 countries, reaching South Korea and Israel ahead of its rival Spotify.
First launched in June 2015, Apple Music, a paid streaming service that comes with a three-month free trial, is up against the likes of Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Google Play Music, and an array of regional or country-specific rivals, TechinAsia reported.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple Music had 11 million paid subscribers in Feb and reached 15 million in June.
Meanwhile, it is speculated that Spotify will still lead the music-streaming business with 30 million paid subscribers. To fight Apple Music, Spotify has released a new feature making it easier for subscribers to find new music that fits their personal taste. The new addition, called Release Radar, is similar to the service’s Discover Weekly playlist, but it only surfaces recently released music.
