After Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, “W” drama’s Han Hyo-joo and Lee Jong-suk are gaining popularity as an ideal pair for their angelic looks and charm. Part of the credit goes to the romantic drama that has a supernatural plot and unique storyline loaded with suspense and thrill.
MBC series “W” is drawing thousands of viewers worldwide, thanks to the drama’s two-world story concept and compelling plot lines. It narrates the impossible love between Oh Yeon-joo, a real girl who works as a surgeon in South Korea, and Kang Chul, a conflicted fictional hero from an ongoing webcomic.

Shocking story developments surrounding the main character Kang Chul, played by Lee, have triggered some anxiety among “W” fans. But the latest photo stills from the drama that features a look at Lee Jong-suk filming an upcoming scene have reportedly offered their fans some comfort, Movie News Guide reported.

Episodes 10 and 11 that aired last week featured plot developments that involved a scary missing face, the villain gaining the upper hand and Lee’s webtoon character Kang being shot, it reported.

However, the behind-the-scenes photos, posted on Soompi, show Lee wearing a white-collared top and denim pants while holding a copy of a “W” comic book. The said scene’s location also appears to be the female protagonist’s real world, Movie News Guide reported.

The images suggest that Lee’s character would find himself transported to Oh’s real world in an upcoming episode. As the drama nears its grand finale, its plot thickens raising the curiosity of the viewers.

“W” is currently one of the most popular Korean dramas with top ratings. But will Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo be able to attain the Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo success? Wait and watch.
Premiered on July 20, the 16-episode drama is likely to end on Sept 14.
