“Descendants of the Sun” cast and crew members had a reunion and Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo were also part of that get-together. Pictures of this reunion were released and their fans are excited to see the two top stars together.
It was about six months since the “Descendants of the Sun” team had an official reunion and this one was to record their commentaries for the super-hit show’s director’s version DVD.
Seven members of the cast took part in this event. Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo, Kim Ji-won, writers Kim Eun-sook and Kim Won-suk, and director Lee Eung-bok gave their commentaries for the special DVD.
On Tuesday, KBS shared a photo of the cast in a recording booth for the commentary. The DVD that will be released in November will have unreleased scenes, interviews and music videos, Soompi reported.
Broadcaster KBS and the production company of the super-hit Korean drama had earlier announced that the director’s cut DVD of the final episode will have a revised finale with some deleted scenes, a music video and behind-the-scene footage.
It may be noted that the drama fans began requesting a director’s cut even before the show had its finale in April. But previously, the broadcaster and production company had expressed difficulties involved in such a move. However, they decided to produce the new version thanks to fans’ continuous requests, it was reported.
