A romantic drama loaded with suspense and thrill, the supernatural plot of “W” is continuing to rule the Wednesday-Thursday slot, easily surpassing the viewership ratings of “Uncontrollably Fond” and “Don’t Dare to Dream.”
In the supernatural series that presents parallel universes, lead actors Lee Jong-seok and Han Hyo-joo enter each other’s world. Lee Jong-seok plays Kang Chul, a super-chaebol worth trillions, and Han Hyo-joo is Oh Yeon-joo, a surgeon who’s on a mission to find her missing father. And, when these characters meet, the two world’s collide.
“W” has remained at the top spot beating other Korean series in this time slot. On Aug. 24, the MBC series aired its 10th episode that garnered a viewership share of 12.3 percent, Soompi reported. On the other hand, the KBS series “Uncontrollably Fond” that stars Kim Woo-bin posted an 8 percent rating, Yibada reported. SBS drama “Don’t Dare to Dream” came third with 7.3 percent.
