Lifestyle: ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ packs punch after punch

Remember how the“Doctors” drama publicised its most-watched boxing scene to create some sensation among its viewers? Now, “Uncontrollably Fond,” the other  South Korean drama that’s vying with it for the top slot, is trying some antics to claim the limelight.

Just this week, “Uncontrollably Fond” unveiled a six-pack punch teasing the viewers and by the week could end, it’s showing off a four-pack special edition to entertain the viewers.

In the special edition that is to be aired this Sunday, it has packed all the first four episodes of the drama in one, and the sequences are arranged as per chronological order.

“With the special edition, viewers will completely understand the story flow of the series,” a staff at Samhwa Networks, the drama’s production firm, told Kpop Herald. Its past episodes kept on hopping between the past and present.

“Uncontrollably Fond,” starring actor Kim Woo-bin and singer-actress Bae Suzy, kicked off in the present day, where Shin Joon-young (Kim Woo-bin) and No Eul (Suzy), who already knew each other, accidentally met again. The second episode, however, took the viewers back to their high school days when they first met. The third episode revolved around their breakup, and the fourth brought views back to the current day.

It will run for 130 minutes on KBS 2TV from Sunday noon.

Both the dramas, aired on different days of the week, are trying their best through several promotional means to attain the success that “Descendants of the Sun” reached earlier this year. Earlier this week, “Uncontrollably Fond” revealed Kim Woo-bin’s six-pack abs in a new preview. Fans melted over the new topless still-cuts of the actor from the drama set.
