Here’s a titbit about the Korean drama “Doctors” that’s going great guns right now. “Doctors” lead star Park Shin-hye popularised a shopping bag from Italian bag maker Bruno Magli. It caught the attention of the viewers as Park matched the bag named “Rosa” with casual and chic looks, reported Kpop Herald.

As a result, this newest spring-summer shopper bag sold out in no time. Park Shin-hye created various styles using the canvas-leather bag’s adjustable drawstring and it became a big hit. One thousand bags sold out within a month since it was launched in early June. Bruno Magli said it requested an emergency re-order and will release the bags once again. “Rosa” comes in three colors, white-blue, olive-khaki, and navy, and is priced at 218,000 won ($190).

Such product promotions are common in South Korean dramas that have regained their Asian glory after the “Descendants of the Sun” success. Earlier this year, a member of its production team admitted to exorbitant levels of product placements in the super-hit series. Its revenue from such product placements alone reached about 3 billion won (S$3.5 million).
