Super-hit Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun” will premiere on June 21 in Japan’s Hikari TV, Cat TV, Sky PerfecTV! and J:Com TV channels, Yibada reported.
After the grand success of this military-romance drama, its lead pair Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo became the most popular stars in South Korea, topping popularity charts and bagging high-profile endorsement assignments.

This apart, the blockbuster TV series will premiere a special preview of the show’s first episode in Tokyo and Hyogo a few days before its broadcast date, Yibada reported. The exciting news came to light when @SongJoongKi_SG posted a screenshot on their official Twitter account on June 6.
Unconfirmed reports claimed that the blockbuster television series was sold to Japan for 2 billion won (roughly $1.7 million). Soompi reported that “Descendants of the Sun” has been sold to Japan for an estimated $100,000 per episode.
